Andy Proctor

Andy joined the Space Professionals Partnership network at the outset in autumn 2023 and knows both Andy Williams and Andy German well. 

Andy is the Director of RethinkPNT, and a world recognised Space and PNT expert. Andy Proctor is a Chartered Engineer, senior strategist, technical leader, and board member. RethinkPNT under his leadership has delivered real success in advising and growing businesses, development programme oversight and assurance, and new market entry. Specific market and technical expertise in position navigation and timing systems, satellite communications, and the UK space sector.

Andy is a former naval communications and surveillance engineer, UK government technology investor, former Technical Director of the UK Space Agency, and has been the PNT technical lead across the UK Government for the Cabinet Office. A Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation (FRIN), and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET), Andy also chairs the Royal Institute of Navigation’s PNT Advisory Group.

RethinkPNT have delivered contracts for customers in the field of capability audit, supply chain mapping, technology assessment, business and strategy support, programme assurance and technical partnering. RethinkPNT is also providing consultancy services on systems engineering, user engagement including requirements development and assurance.
