UK Space Agency Selects SPPL for AI Roadmap for Space Applications

The UK Space Agency has appointed Space Professionals Partnership Ltd (SPPL) to deliver the AI Roadmap for Space Study (AIRS), a strategic initiative designed to identify the artificial intelligence technologies that will shape and strengthen the UK space sector over the next decade.

The AI Roadmap for Space Study (AIRS) project will produce a comprehensive roadmap outlining priority AI capabilities for future investment, development, and commercialisation. By clarifying where the greatest opportunities lie, the study aims to accelerate innovation and ensure the UK remains at the forefront of the rapidly evolving global space industry. 

As part of this study, SPPL will engage extensively with stakeholders across the ecosystem, including industry leaders, academic institutions, research and technology organisations, investors, insurers, funding agencies, and standards and regulatory bodies. This outreach will include an online survey and three stakeholder workshops, scheduled for December 2025 through February 2026.
