David Kenyon

David joined the Space Professionals Partnership network in December 2023 as he became an independent management consultant following his role as UK Managing Director of MDA. A senior space professional with 40 year’s experience across multiple sectors. As UK Managing Director of MDA David grew the UK business from three people to a thriving business approaching 150 staff and a key commercial player in communication constellations, space sensors and robotics.

A Chartered Engineer who has held multiple directorships and managed three acquisitions. His MD roles have provided experience across strategy, operations, program oversight. Starting in the design of EO equipment progressed to procurement at satellite level (inc. nine years within ESA). David has managed large procurements in industry including the Galileo IOV payload, the Galileo FOC security and control segment and a procurement lead role on Skynet-5. David was a creator of Rhea Group which he led as CEO from 10 to 120 staff and a successful trade sale.

An all-rounder with extensive international experience and insight into the workings of both industrial and institutional players across Europe and North America.
